Device ManageR Plugins are available for AVTECH's Device ManageR software (v3.0.1 and up). They include plugins for Windows, Unix/Linux, Dial Out and Reporting to provide a complete solution for any IT & facility environment monitoring need. These plugins can be used to shutdown, reboot, log off and/or dial out to an unlimited number of systems... individually, in groups, simultaneously, sequentially or according to a defined schedule.

  • Windows Shutdown: The Windows Shutdown plugin is designed to shutdown Windows systems remotely across the network. When loaded into Device ManageR, users will be able to create a new Action/Notification List that will use the Windows Shutdown action when an alert is detected. This action will perform a forced power-down of the target system using the username and password provided during configuration.

  • Windows Reboot: The Windows Reboot plugin is designed to reboot Windows systems remotely across the network. When loaded into Device ManageR, users will be able to create a new Action/Notification List that will use the Windows Reboot action when an alert is detected. This action will perform a forced reboot of the target system using the username and password provided during configuration.

  • Windows Log Off: The Windows Log Off plugin is designed to log off Windows systems remotely across the network. When loaded into Device ManageR, users will be able to create a new Action/Notification List that will use the Windows Log Off action when an alert is detected. This action will perform a forced log off of the target system using the username and password provided during configuration.

  • Windows Command: The Windows Command plugin is designed to execute a Windows command, batch file or script remotely across the network. When loaded into Device ManageR, users will be able to create a new Action/Notification List that will use the Windows Command action when an alert is detected. This action will perform the configured command on the target system by connecting directly to the system using the settings provided during configuration.

  • Windows Audible Action: The Windows Audible Action plugin is designed to speak alert text or play a sound file over the Device ManageR host system's sound card. When loaded into Device ManageR, users will be able to create a new Action/Notification List that will use the Windows audible action when an alert is detected. This action will use the speakers connected to the Device ManageR host system to speak the alert text generated by the alert or play a sound file, depending on the configuration of the action.

  • Unix/Linux Shutdown: The Unix/Linux Shutdown plugin is designed to shutdown Unix/Linux systems remotely across the network. When loaded into Device ManageR, users will be able to create a new Action/Notification List that will use the Unix/Linux Shutdown action when an alert is detected. This action will perform a forced power-down of the target system by connecting directly to the system via Telnet using the settings provided during configuration.

  • Unix/Linux Reboot: The Unix/Linux Reboot plugin is designed to reboot Unix/Linux systems remotely across the network. When loaded into Device ManageR, users will be able to create a new Action/Notification List that will use the Unix/Linux Reboot action when an alert is detected. This action will perform a forced reboot of the target system by connecting directly to the system via Telnet using the settings provided during configuration.

  • Unix/Linux Command: The Unix/Linux Command plugin is designed to execute a Unix/Linux command remotely across the network. When loaded into Device ManageR, users will be able to create a new Action/Notification List that will use the Unix/Linux Command action when an alert is detected. This action will perform the configured command on the target system by connecting directly to the system via Telnet using the settings provided during configuration.

  • GSM Text: The GSM Text plugin is designed to send out text messages via a GSM modem remotely across the network. When loaded into Device ManageR, users will be able to create a new Action/Notification List that will use the GSM Text action when an alert is detected. This action will use the GSM modem connected to the Device ManageR host system to send a text message to the configured contact.

  • Dial Out Text: The Dial Out Text plugin is designed to use a TAP service to send out text messages via a modem, or to dial a phone directly and play dial tones. When loaded into Device ManageR, users will be able to create a new Action/Notification List that will use the Dial Out action when an alert is detected. This action will use the modem connected to the Device ManageR host system to either send a text message through the configured TAP service or call a phone directly and play dial tones, depending on the action selected during configuration.

  • Dial Out Voice: The Dial Out Voice plugin is designed to allow users to call a phone and speak alert text via a voice capable modem. When loaded into Device ManageR, users will be able to create a new Action/Notification List that will use the Voice Dial Out action when an alert is detected. This action will use the modem connected to the Device ManageR host system to dial a phone directly and speak the alert text generated by the alert.

  • Report Generator: The Report Generator plugin allows users to schedule and send emails to configured contacts with status updates and advanced statistics on discovered devices (Room Alert & TemPageR), alerts detected by Device ManageR and more. Users can automatically view and print statistics of all environmental conditions within their computer rooms, data centers and other facilities. Keywords are available that allow users to insert values for the number of alerts in progress, number of alerts in a designated time period, number of devices discovered, current sensor readings and much more. An unlimited number of reports can be created, allowing users the flexibility to create different reports for different contacts, or to run reports according to different schedules (i.e. daily, weekly or monthly report).

These plugins are ideal for use when conditions in a data center environment turn fatal for computer systems and other expensive IT equipment such as extreme temperature, extreme humidity, main power loss, flood, smoke/fire, security break-ins and other conditions. Device ManageR can perform these actions without any user interaction both automatically and immediately, saving expensive equipment from damage caused by environment extremes that go unchecked.

AVTECH's Device ManageR software comes 'FREE' with the purchase of any AVTECH Room Alert IT & facilities environment monitor. Device ManageR is an all-in-one solution for the discovery, management, monitoring, alerting, logging, graphing, automatic action and more of AVTECH's environment monitoring hardware and Axis network cameras.

Device ManageR greatly enhances the value of AVTECH's product line, making it easier for users with multiple Room Alert units to monitor and document environment conditions, improve reliability, and decrease unplanned downtime or costly hardware replacement. Device ManageR also provides unlimited discovery of Axis network cameras and acts as a single IP web interface for viewing real-time images for individual, groups or all Axis cameras found across the network.
